Installation
Installation of a reverse osmosis system can be performed by almost anyone. If you are a little technically inclined, you can most likely install a system yourself. The process may vary slightly depending on your setup and which system you ordered. For the most part, everything you need for installation is provided with the system. The tools you may need to supply yourself are as follows:
- Drill
- 1/4" Drill Bit
- Faucet Drill Bit (size will vary depending on faucet type)
- Philips Head Screwdriver
- Tubing Cutter or Razor Knife
- Channel Lock Pliers
- Adjustable Wrench

Maintenance
Sanitization
It recommended that you sanitize your RO system each time you change your filters (every 6 months depending on water quality). To sanitize your system, we recommend the use of Sani-System for RO Systems by Pro Products. The sanitation process itself takes 60 seconds of contact time.
Repairing a Broken Fitting
Occasionally due to shipment or installation, RO fittings can break or leak. For this reason, we supply a spare elbow fitting with every RO unit. If your fitting breaks, you can use this extra fitting to repair your system in under 2 minutes.
Re-Pressurizing an RO Tank
Over time, the RO tank can lose pressure and you could begin to experience some problems. Tanks can be re-pressurized using a tire pressure gauge, and a bike pump or air compressor. The target pressure for our small residential RO systems is typically between 5-7 psi.
Replacement Filters
US Water Systems has more replacement filter packs than any other water treatment site. If you have an RO system, chances are we have replacement filters for your system. Buying a filter pack is fool-proof.
