Additional information

FILTERSORB® SP3 has the ability and capacity to absorb Iron, Copper, Manganese, Lead, Zinc etc. If your water has a highly concentrated presence of these contaminants the FILTERSORB® SP3 beads may change color, this will affect the longevity of the media. Do not use where water is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the unit. The system must be maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pre-treatment for sediment, Iron, Hydrogen Sulfide, Manganese, hydrocarbons, and Copper may be required depending on water conditions.

In case of any strange color change of the FILTERSORB SP3 media beads or the treated water is noticed, please contact us with a detailed water analysis.

The lifespan of the media is typically 5 to 7 years. The media is sold by the liter. The quantity needed is determined by the tank size (below).

WELL WATER HARD WATER SOLUTION!!!!

"I live in a mobile home park with extremely hard water with a well and while I could go the "lugging bags of salt" route of water softening, I chose to get a water conditioner instead and it has been GREAT excepting that the media I purchased (resin, not ceramic) did not last but about 2 years. . . . . I hope that this 'fancy' ceramic media will keep my water from leaving icky scale all over everything. So far, it has exceeded my expectations. After about 3 days, we began to notice the stainless steel kitchen sink and glasses with NO SPOTS!!! I now need to purchase a few more so that I am not in a lurch a few years from now. . . . . . do you offer discount for purchase of 4 boxes? Thank you US WATER SYSTEMS!!!!"

"Very honest company. I had complained about a delivery issue and they immediately contacted me and resolved the issue. I recommend them to everyone who expect quality product for a fair price."

FilterSorb Effectiveness

"I've used FilterSorb now for almost 12 years and it has significantly cut down on the scaling of the extremely hard water in my area. My neighbors are dropping water heaters like crazy and I've recently flushed mine and very little scale was present. It works and I use it as a "Whole House" application so even my hose bibs are "softened"."

Short by 1/2lb - be weary

"The bag was slightly under what they said it should be. For something so expensive, sold by weight, this is fraud."

Filtersorb sp3 Mac replacement media

"Received the product in a clear bag that was only tied on the top. Received the item in the box with some of the product in the box. Maybe put it in a better bag that does not spill."

"Quick shipping and was what I needed for my greenwave water treatment system."

Q&A

. Pre-treatment for sediment, Iron, Hydrogen Sulfide, Manganese, hydrocarbons, and Copper may be required depending on water conditions. Please explain how I will know if these conditions are present and what is required if so. Using two 48x9 inch tanks
The best way to know if pre-treatment is needed is to have your water tested. Sediment, iron, hydrogen sulfide, manganese, hydrocarbons, and copper can sometimes be identified by signs like staining, odor, particles, or taste, but a water test is the most reliable way to confirm what is present. If any of these conditions exist, pre-treatment may be required before the SP3 media to help protect the media and ensure proper performance. The exact pre-treatment needed depends on the specific contaminant and the level present in the water. For two 9" x 48" tanks, you would typically need 5 liters per tank, or 10 liters total. Our water specialists would be happy to review your water results and help recommend the proper setup.
