How Drop Technology Works

The DROP Smart Hub integrates all parts of this commercial backwashing filter system, and controls up to 12 water softeners and 12 backwashing filters with just the one hub using low frequency radio waves. It can also operate on your home or business WIFI network.

The DROP automatically monitors your entire water system around the clock, and notifies you if you have a leak. It can even shut the water off to protect your property.

Leak Detection and Flood Prevention

t's a fact that you are seven or eight times more likely to have floor or water damage in your business than you are to have it burglarized. Most businesses have security systems to prevent burglary but have nothing to prevent floods or water damage. The Matrixx Drop changes all of that with it's Dual Leak Detector: (1) It senses unusual flow rates and alerts you to such on your smartphone. You can decide whether you want the system to shut down to prevent water damage; and (2) You can put up to 32 leak detectors in vital places throughout your plant or business. When they sense wetness, they also notify you and shut off the water. You can decide what happens at that point.

Disruptive Technology

The 1.25” Matrixx Drop Commercial System operates in conjunction with your WiFi System and is fully programmed by an App on your Smartphone.

Each tank and tank size has a peak flow of 18 GPM, which means that its continuous flow is 9 GPM per tank. So, if you need 70 GPM Peak Flow, you would utilize 5 to 6 tanks. Each tank monitors flow and water usage. When a tank is exhausted (time to regenerate), it immediately goes off-line and regenerates. Its no-hard water bypass prevents unfiltered water from entering your site, and its built-in lock-out assures that only one tank can regenerate at a time.

his design assures you that the system can accommodate fluctuations in demand without bleeding any unfiltered water to service while conserving water.

In periods of low flow, the Drop App automatically takes tanks offline, to prevent unfiltered bleed-through from “channeling of the media.” However, unlike most other systems, which always have one tank offline, the Drop system can have all tanks in service… except when one is regenerating, so that high flow rates are sustainable.
