Full 1.25” Commercial-Grade Sediment Backwashing Filter - Light commercial backwashing filter which flows up to 37 gpm peak flow and includes Bluetooth Smart Valve Technology which allows you to program the system with any mobile device in about 30 seconds, giving you full control of your water filtration system.

Why You May Need a Backwashing Sediment Filter

A backwashing Sediment Filter has a specific amount of media inside. In this case, the media is a highly specialized Hyper-Filtration Media called Filter-Ag Plus® or Turbidex™. We use these two media interchangeably to remove sediment. This is called “deep bed filtration” which delivers exceptional water quality and reduces the “Sediment Load” on any downstream water treatment equipment, or for that matter, any water fixtures and equipment in general.

This Hyper-Filtration Media filters down to the 3-to-5 micron range, which results in savings for things like water waste, chemical usage, filter cartridges, and membrane service. Unlike older “sand filters” which just mechanically strained sand and sediment, our Hyper-Filtration Media also uses the following methods to rid your water of sediment:

How Drop Technology Works

The DROP Smart Hub integrates all parts of this commercial backwashing filter system, and controls up to 12 water softeners and 12 backwashing filters with just the one hub using low frequency radio waves. It can also operate on your home or business WIFI network.

The DROP automatically monitors your entire water system around the clock, and notifies you if you have a leak. It can even shut the water off to protect your property.

More Than A Backwashing Filter

The Matrixx Drop changes all of that with it's Dual Leak Detector: (1) It senses unusual flow rates and alerts you to such on your smartphone. You can decide whether you want the system to shut down to prevent water damage; and (2) You can put up to 32 leak detectors in vital places throughout your plant or business. When they sense wetness, they also notify you and shut off the water. You can decide what happens at that point.
