Cheaper Is Not Always Better

"Having previously utilized the regular Pelican Basic PUV-8 UL lamps, the day came two years ago that I decided to search out a cheaper UV lamp alternative. Going to Amazon as probably 3/4 of America does, I did find a cheaper alternative to the Pelican model, so I purchased two. Although I thought I was saving money, as it turned out, the non-Pelican UV lamps were nowhere the same as the originals. In fact, during the (assumed) 365-day life period, the after-market brand caused the monitoring control panel to sound an alarm, not once but every 30-days. I had to unplug the control panel, wait until the system completely shut down, then plug it back into the outlet for another 30-day period. The second aftermarket lamp was "thrown away", and ordered a new Pelican original UV lamp, which has not given a single moment's issue for it "full" 365-day cycle. Never losing money of aftermarket UV lamps again."
