Super easy project with great

"Super easy project with great directions from US Water! A project I never thought I would be able to do myself but with this price compared to estimates I received to get it done it was a no brainer! Our system is over 8 years old fed by a well and my wife said she felt a difference in her hair and skin right away!"

Perfectly Simple

"This is the third time I've replaced the media in my system. This was my first experience with US Water Systems and by far the easiest, as long as you follow the instructions. Absolutely no fines if you take your time and keep things low flow for the first few days after replacement."

Good service. . . . maybe.

"I made a mistake by ordering the wrong item. . . . I called customer service and they quickly changed the order. Great job. However, they overcharged for the correct part and I'm still waiting for the $95. 99 credit they say I will get. Watching my credit card for the credit and nothing yet. It's been 10 days now. Hope this is not a hassle, these people appear to be on top of their business."

Ross H. (3/5)

Everything needed. Clear instructions.

"Aside from the need to wrestle the tank around so the old media could be poured out, it was an easy process."

Polestar Installation

"I had Polstar plumbing of Kansas City install the new NS3 and 1000 product to my Pelican. manifold system. Things went well. Everything was included in the three boxes that I ordered late 2024. US Water systems were very helpful answering all of my questions. The system is up and running. Being new to the two polester guys they took their time and allowed me to be there for the entire job. I would recommend them if you are in the KC area. A big shoutout to Tim for being so kind and helpful to me."

Q&A

My home has a Pelican PC1000 whole house water filter. I see the filter is in bypass mode, so not utilizing the carbon filter, and it has been this way for at least 5 years. Is there any harm in turning the knobs to take it out of bypass mode after this much time? BTW I do plan to order the carbon replacement from you site as well. Thank you for your advice.
After five years off‑line the carbon bed inside the PC1000 is almost certainly harboring a lot of stagnant water and biofilm. Opening the valves now would flush all of that straight into your household plumbing—cloudy, black water at best and potentially bacteria‑laden water at worst. I would get the replacement media first and sanitize your tank with bleach water after removing old media and before installing new media.
