"Seems to be well made, was relatively easy to install. One thing that would be nice is if it had threaded ports instead of slip fit. I don't really like gluing into the housing so having threaded ports like the magna would be better. Otherwise no complaints. When I turned on the water there was air mixed with the water so you really could see there vortex action."

"When the screen needs to be replaced, unscrewing the screen holder is simple enough, but the shutoff valve will also come unscrewed. That will require reapplying teflon tape on the threads. PLUS, if installation to the outflow is not flexible, unscrewing will be impossible."

In fact, the top filter has now turned yellow-brown--the color that our carbon filters had been turning before we installed this Centrifugal Sediment Trapper. I flush it two or three times each month, and +/- a tablespoon of physical sediments collect in the pale."

"Using the Rusco with a 30-micron screen prior to a 5-micron filter. After only about two weeks, I've already flushed it a couple of times and I foresee having to break it down for a more thorough cleaning every month or two. I like the large ball valve at the base of the filter for flushing and for removing pressure from my system for maintenance further up the line. Very well built."
