"This is our final stage filter and it's stellar. We have a lot of visible and solid red iron in our source well water. Our first stage is a single tank packed with various media to remove most of the iron down to 4ish microns. Then, it's onto the final stage, this filter. I've only had this filter for a few weeks. Prior to this filter, I was using 1-micron wrapped/corded style of filter and I could visibly see iron passing through. Switched to this pleated filter and immediately noticed a difference. I can't visibly detect any iron, which is a great start. It also appears the dirt holding capacity will last a long time. The filter looks like it's not working as hard as the wound filter was. I don't see as much build up crowding the surface as I did with the wound filter."
