0. 5 micron sediment filter is first in line

"I finally watched several youtube videos about RO. I wish I had done it years ago. Lots of bad videos with lots of errors and bad advice, but if you watch a bunch you can learn many important things. The tops of filter housings develop microcracks and leak, so I bought a new external housing with top that fixed the leak. My water is pretty clean, so I put in the 0. 5 micron filter in the new extrernal housing, followed by the new Interceptor PAC followed by the Chloramine filter to protect the RO membrane from Chlorine. Best water ever, no leaks. Also added air to my empty tank (20 psi) which made a Huge difference."

"Good price on a nominal 0. 5 micron filter. It fit securely in the housing and doesn't seem to affect the flow rate too much. I'm using this in a 3 stage drinking water faucet application. Combined with carbon filters, I'm experiencing significantly improved water taste."
