This is truly disruptive technology in that it uses electro-adhesion to remove sub-micron particles. The US Water Interceptor Pre-Filter has a 5 micron outer filter layer (which can be washed off if sediment accumulated). Inside the filter has another layer of pleated material manufactured of Nano Alumina Fibers that have a Zeta potential of 51 millivolts. Many contaminants are actually "magnetically" removed from the water supply and "secured" in the “Charged Filter”. Additionally, the filter media is infused with powdered activated carbon which has an immense potential to remove chemical contaminants.
