"My filtering system consists of a 100 micron pre filter, a 20 micron filter, a 5 micron filter, a iron/sulfur removal tank and a lime blaster unit. I initially had a 50 micron pre filter but it was clogging too often. I wanted to verify the condition of all the filters so I took them apart. While the 20 micron filter had some deposits and discoloration I could see it was not contributing to my low flow situation. The 5 micron filter was still almost pure white. So I changed the prefilter to 100 microns and everything is operating very well now. I realize the 20 micron filter may clog a little faster now but I think it has a lot more capacity to handle it. I had a plumber install my system and we had a slight drip from this 20 micron filter. I contacted US Water Systems about this. I had a pleasant discussion with the technician about this and he graciously sent out new o rings. I used a food grade lubricant with the new o ring and no more drips. I am very satisfied with the experience of working with US Water systems through the whole process- water testing, system design and customer service. I would recommend them to anyone."
