Proportional Balancing System Delivers Precise pH Adjustment

This precision injection system is perfectly suited for any water system with varying flow rates and pH levels below 6.0 or in cases where you do not want to raise the hardness of the water with calcite or manganese oxide. It neutralizes the pH at any flow rate - high or low, by using soda ash which raises the pH without increasing the hardness. This is a proportional injection system which will inject the precise amount of neutralizer into the water stream at 1 GPM or 50 GPM. It is fully electronic and adjustable. Soda ash is a white granular powder which is NSF Certified to meet NSF/ANSI Standard 60 for drinking water additives.

Primary Components

  • Electronic Soda Ash Injection Pump
  • Water Meter
  • 35 Gallon Solution Tank
  • 1 Case of Soda Ash (4-7 lb bottles)

Installation

The heart of this system is the Electronic Injection Pump which easily mounts on the tank for easy installation and equipment accessibility. It is completely "plug and play." Simple to install, even simpler to set. The pump injects a solution of Soda Ash, right into the water line. Simply adjust the pH by increasing the pump dosage and you are done. The pH will remain the same, no matter what the flow rate.

Available only in 120V. Just plug into any electrical outlet, connect it and you are done. It's that simple.

Would recommend

"Extremely happy with my new US water system. All parts are high quality and performing well. My family and I noticed a difference in our water immediately."

Whole House System

"We purchased a full system from US Water. They were very helpful in guiding us through what equipment we should put together to handle our iron bacteria, acidic water and bacteria. The instructions were clear, and the help line was very responsive. We are very happy with our purchase about 6 months later, and will continue to purchase and recommend US Water. I do wish they would provide total piping layout for the system, as that took some time and effort to layout. We installed a number of shutoff valves to allow for the different pieces of equipment to be isolated in case of cleaning or maintenance."

PH Booster System

"Products arrived right away. I was waiting for an inline mixer to use for the injector instead of the tee connector they provided. Would have been nice to be able to buy a inline mixer from them directly. My contacts with support have been great but might have been eliminated with a little more information in installation manual (mostly about pump priming) Another thing I have order was a mixer pump to put in the holding tank. Want to make sure the holding tank stays mixed up. Another thing would be nice to have been able to buy directly from them. BUT, the install was pretty easy and went smoothly. My PH in the house was around 5. 5 before installing this unit (I use to have a PH Neutralizer but couldn't get the PH over 6 with it and my wife was getting tired of blue stains) now after day three (pump is set to 20 Seconds and 50 percent) my PH has climbed into 7 zone - YEAH. NOW the big questions are: How often will I need to refill the holding tank (use to do my old system every 9 months) and how stable will the PH Level stay (I will test every week and see) In general great price, seems like great equipment (pump is a little noisy - but it is in the basement) Once I cleanup everything maybe I will put up some photos"

pH Booster System feedback

"Purchased 3 months ago and wanted to provide feedback. The pH is maintaining the desired level independent of demand. The installation was easy. The install manual is helpful but has errors; The supply tank received did not match what was illustrated and the chemical manufacturer recommended mix proportions do not match the manual provided. I mounted the chemical pump on a stanchion for my purposes. The link for a review did not work."

Water treatment

"I installed my system about 4 weeks ago. So far everything is working great. The sales staff and tech support at USWater has been great."

System works as it should.

"System works as it should. Easy set up. US Water technical services great as always. Couldn’t be happier with my Defender 6000."

Ken D. (5/5)

8. 5 ph

"Works well"

Troy K. (5/5)

Did the trick.

"Fairly easy install using pex. A YouTube video showing the install would have been nice. I had a few questions and customer service walked me through them. They are a great resource."

Q&A

We currently have Culligan Water systems. How do you guys compare?
For this specific system, our Precision Injection pH Balancing System uses a metered, proportional injection pump to feed soda ash based on water flow. That means it can raise low pH consistently without adding hardness the way calcite-style neutralizers can. It is especially useful when pH is below 6.0 or when flow rates vary.
Hi, can you guys please make it easy to find the dimensions of this system? Thanks.
For the US Water Precision Injection pH Balancing (pH Booster) System, the largest/space-driving component is the 35-gallon solution tank 35-gallon solution tank dimensions: 18" outside diameter × 32" height Real-world install tip: the injection pump mounts on top of the tank, so plan a little extra vertical clearance above 32" for the pump/head and for removing the lid for refilling/servicing.
Any reason I can't use distilled water when mixing the solution? I've read some start with a very low pH versus being in the six and a half to seven range.
Yes — distilled water is totally fine to use (and often a good idea) when mixing the solution, as long as you follow the mixing ratios and safety guidance.
What’s the best way to prepare/mix the ash in the brine tank? The ash says mix it with “hot” water, but doesn’t define an actual temperature. Is “hot” heated on a stove top prior to boiling, or is “Hot” sitting in my car for a few days under the Texas sun? Thanks!
Great question. For soda ash (sodium carbonate) you want warm—not boiling—water so the powder dissolves fast and stays in solution.Target water temperature Aim for ~70–110°F (21–43°C). “Warm tap-hot” is perfect. You don’t need to heat on the stove, and you should avoid boiling water.
I have a Defender system on my well that results in a ph of 6. I have been told by my family doctor not to add calcium to my diet, so adding calcium is not what I want to do. Is this system advisable? If so, is the Soda Ash added before, or after, the RO unit?
Yes, this is available and should be installed after the RO on the product lint to the tank. We also have a fittings pack for installing it. Call in and speak to a Water Specialist to get this added.
