"The inlet and outlet are supposed to be 1/2" fnpt. I have tried teflon tape, pipe dope, a combination of teflon tape and pipe dope and nothing will make the threads stop leaking. I am starting to look outside of the box with a silicone sealer and gluing the fittings into the base to make them stop leaking."
