Welcome Steve Timmons to the Blog
A couple of years ago, my youngest son, Stephen... well, now that he's grown up, he goes by "Steve" (which was also my father's name) joined our family-owned business. Recently, he was promoted to Sales Manager and this week he has joined The Ask The Water Doctor Blog as a writer. He has spent all of his life around the water treatment business and through osmosis has absorbed a tremendous amount of information and knowledge.
Maybe you know that my wife and I started our business as US Water & Air in our garage almost 20 years ago, and today we have grown to over 40 employees. Today, it's called US Water Systems, Inc. Stephen, I mean Steve... was there in the beginning. The photo below is of him working a Home Show with me. He went to work with me frequently and accompanied me on sales calls, service calls and even installations. Most of the time he acted like he was bored, but in reality, he was soaking in a lot of knowledge.
I actually started "Ask The Water Doctor Blog" over 20 years ago when I was the Manager of ARS (American Residential Services) water treatment division. Actually, this blog was started before Steve was born! About the same time, I also started www.LAdodgerTalk.com - a blog for Dodger fans and I still write it 3 or 4 days a week, to this day. I do have a couple of other Dodger fans who help me.
I have pretty much written just about everything on the Ask The Water Doctor Blog for the past 20+ years. However, that just changed as Steve wrote his first of many blog posts today. I will be 66 years old this year, but am in excellent health and have no desire to retire. I still frequently work "half days." You know: 12 Hours! I love water treatment (and the Dodgers). Steve will take over for my wife and I someday... maybe in 5 or 10 years, but I think you are going to enjoy what he writes. Here we are at the Craft Beer Conference in Denver last month:
