Celebrate World Water Day 2021
World Water Day has been held on March 22nd every year since 1993. World Water Day celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. Of course, at US Water Systems, we also celebrate World Water Day, but we don't stop there Every day is World Water Day at US Water Systems. This is what we live for: We make people's water better to better their lives and even save their lives. We do it every day of the year, but we join our brothers and sisters in celebrating World Water Day 2021!
Water is Absolutely Vital to the Health of Families Around the World
A global celebration of water happens once a year on World Water Day, but the global need for safe water to wash hands, drink, and keep families healthy exists every day. Together we can make every day, world water day by empowering people living in poverty with affordable, lasting access to the safe water they need to survive.
In the United States, we take water quality for granted. While there are some challenges with contaminants, such as lead, chemicals like PFOA/PFAS, and others, for the most part, the water across the USA is bacterially safe. It has been that way since the early 1900s when cities in the U.S. started chlorinating the water supplies. Before that time, the leading causes of death were cholera and typhoid. When was the last time someone in America died of cholera and typhoid? Over the past ten years, the annual average of cholera deaths in the U.S. is 6! That is in a country with a 330,000,000 population!
You Can Make A Difference
www.Water.org is a global nonprofit organization working to bring water and sanitation to the world. They work tirelessly to make it safe, accessible, and cost-effective, by helping people get access to safe water and sanitation through affordable financing, such as small loans. Water.org empowers people in need with these life-changing resources giving women hope, children's health, and families a bright future.
Water.org was started in 2009 by Gary White and Matt Damon who both have the same kind of passion we do about treating water, are making a huge difference by empowering people around the world to have access to clean, healthy, safe water. In celebration of World Water Day, you can donate to Water.org
You can make a one-time donation or a monthly ongoing donation that can impact many people's lives, including many small children. Think about it!
There are many non-profits that are doing exceptional charitable work around the world. Your generosity not only can improve people's lives, but it may even save lives... perhaps the life of a child. At US Water Systems, we work with many non-profits and other charitable organizations to provide them with water treatment systems and components that go to third-world countries for humanitarian efforts, at a considerable discount.
US Water Systems is home to many cutting-edge of technologies and disruptive scientific advances in water treatment. We are continually innovating new and improved ways to treat water, both domestically and abroad. We are typically the thought leaders in a very diverse and confusing (at times) industry.
70% of the earth is covered with water, the rest is covered by US Water Systems.
